Exports of Pará's agribusiness products grew nearly 14% in the first quarter
The advance was driven mainly by the increase in exports of the meat, live animals, and soybean complex segments, according to data compiled by Sedap.

The State of Pará closed the first quarter of this month with a growth of 13.66% in agribusiness exports. The total reached US$ 650.01 million, according to a study regionally prepared by the Planning and Statistics Center (Nuplan) of the Secretary of Agricultural Development and Fisheries (Sedap). The data were extracted from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa)/Agrostat – Statistics of Foreign Trade of Brazilian Agribusiness and Comex Stat from the Secretary of Foreign Trade (Secex/Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services).
Pará accounted for 1.72% of national agribusiness exports, 32.34% of the North Region, and 12.83% of the total exported by the state itself. In the first quarter of 2025, Pará's agribusiness exports showed a significant growth trajectory, as explained by statistician João Ulisses Silva. He detailed that the exported value rose from US$ 179.41 million in January to US$ 187.44 million in February, reaching US$ 283.16 million in March — a cumulative expansion of 57.80% during the period, as he elaborated.
“This advance was driven mainly by the increase in exports of the meat, live animals, and soybean complex segments, which have been gaining relevance in the state's export agenda,” explained the person responsible for the survey.
He also informed that although the data are extracted from federal agencies, it is up to Sedap, through the analysis of this data, to regionally prepare the survey, which is available to anyone interested in the complete study.
“At the state level, this data is of utmost importance for local authorities in the agribusiness sector or for anyone who wants to access the data to understand the performance of Pará's agribusiness exports. This survey is available on Sedap's virtual page,” he advised.

She added that the United States (USA) followed as the second largest destination, with US$ 52.46 million (8.07%), followed by Egypt with US$ 47.29 million (7.28%), and Morocco with US$ 32.60 million (5.02%).
“Israel with US$ 30.25 million - 4.65%, Lebanon with US$ 26.83 million - 4.13%, and Hong Kong with US$ 23.55 million - 3.62% were also other important destinations; these countries together represented approximately 67% of the total value of Pará's agricultural exports during the period,” added the coordinator.

“The complete list is in our survey and can be accessed through the secretary's portal, which is www.sedap.pa.gov.br,” she advised.
