The Government of Pará marked the month of April with the delivery of important structural works and social actions in all regions of the State. Among the highlights is one of the overpasses built by the State on the BR-316 Highway, at the intersection with Avenida Independência, in the municipality of Ananindeua, in the Metropolitan Region of Belém. A strategic work for the advancement of urban mobility.

In southeastern Pará, the paving of the Transcanadá Highway, which connects three municipalities to the PA-279 Highway, in the stretch between Canaã dos Carajás and Água Azul, reinforces road infrastructure and regional development.

With the commitment to invest in improvements that directly benefit the population, the state government accelerates the completion and delivery of works in various municipalities of Pará. In the first four months of 2025 alone, actions were carried out in the areas of housing, health, education, infrastructure, and urban mobility. Resources were allocated for the construction of schools, donation of books, delivery of health units, and support for citizenship.

Culture and identity - Firmino Santos, 58 years old, a resident of Bragança, northeastern Pará, celebrated the delivery of nearly a thousand books to the Quilomboteca of Caeté. “We have a governor who looks with respect at the quilombola people. We are keeping our identity alive for new generations, and knowledge is the greatest wealth we can have,” he declared.

In Belém, education also received a boost with the delivery of a new school unit, which will benefit 157 students, now with full-time education. In Marabá, in the southeastern region, students were awarded the “Bora Estudar” program check. In the 13 municipalities linked to the Regional Education Directorate (DRE) of Marabá, 661 students have already received the bonus, totaling over R$ 660 million invested in valuing the education of young people.

Education - The State delivered the first bilingual school in Pará, in Icoaraci (a district of Belém). In Barcarena, the community celebrated the new space of the Acy de Jesus Barros Pereira State School. With a modern and welcoming structure, and capacity to serve 700 students, it was the 166th unit delivered by the current administration.

In the Marajó Archipelago, the municipality of Portel received two important educational works: the Daycare Center Bispo Dom José Luís Azcona Hermoso, a result of a partnership between the federal, state, and municipal governments, and a primary school. Together, they will benefit more than 900 children and young people.

The “Creche Por Todo Pará” Program also advanced in Almeirim, in western Pará, with the inauguration of the Daycare Center Professora Maria Herundina Valente Amorim, which will serve up to 200 children aged 0 to 5 years, with full-time education. In Cumaru do Norte, in the southeast, the EMEI Professora Prisse Sousa Morais has the capacity for 250 children, an investment of R$ 4.2 million.

Employment and income - More than 3,000 driver's licenses were delivered by the CNH Pai D’égua Program, in Belém, expanding opportunities in the job market. In Mãe do Rio, in the northeastern region, new fish and meat markets were delivered to the population. The works were carried out through an agreement between the State and the local city hall, to benefit merchants and consumers.

Assistance and citizenship - The Government of Pará distributed more than a thousand food baskets to families affected by forest fires in Redenção, in the south of the State. A similar action took place in Aveiro, Itaituba, and Jacareacanga, in the southwest, reaching more than 3,500 families in vulnerable situations in the Tapajós Integration Region.

In Marabá, the “Por Todas Elas” Program brought health and citizenship services to the Usina da Paz, expanding access for women and families to essential care.

Housing - Residents of Ananindeua, on two occasions, and São Miguel do Guamá, in the northeast, benefited from the housing program “Sua Casa” and land regularization services. Adding the two benefits (resources for housing improvement and delivery of land titles), about a thousand families were contemplated.

Health - The Polyclinic/Natea Carajás (Specialized Nucleus for Autism Spectrum Disorder) was delivered in Marabá, with an expectation of performing more than 500,000 annual consultations for residents of 17 municipalities. In Barcarena (Metropolitan Region of Belém), 40 boats were delivered to community health agents, ensuring greater mobility and access to riverside communities.

Tatiane Gomes, administrative analyst in Marabá, highlighted the importance of the investments: “Everything is improving. Now, we have more access to public health services. I can consult without having to go to the capital,” she stated.

Public safety - Governor Helder Barbalho and Vice Governor Hana Ghassan announced the calling of 1,585 approved candidates in the Military Police and Military Firefighters competitions.

Also reinforcing the Government's commitment to promoting security, the State Secretariat for Penitentiary Administration (Seap) received nine new vehicles to expand social reintegration actions and assistance to people deprived of liberty. In São Miguel do Guamá, a new fire station and a vehicle were also delivered to the Fire Department. In Marajó, the municipalities of Portel and Melgaço received boats and vehicles for the action of security forces in combating crime and protecting women victims of violence.
