Detran guides drivers at the overpass of BR-316 with Avenida Independência
Education agents approached drivers passing through the highway and the overpass, distributing trash bags and informational brochures with the vehicle itinerary
The State Traffic Department (Detran), through the Traffic Education Coordination, conducted an educational action on the morning of this Friday (9) in the area of the new overpass of the BR-316 highway with Avenida Independência. The objective was to guide drivers on the correct use of the overpass, which was delivered on April 30 by the Government of Pará.
During the action, the education agents approached drivers passing through the highway and the overpass, and distributed trash bags and informational brochures with the vehicle itinerary. The action also included guidance on the main risk factors, such as not wearing helmets and seat belts, and lack of attention in traffic.

The overpass enhances mobility and traffic flow. According to the agents' guidance, the structure allows drivers coming from the Viária Loop to go directly to Belém, without needing to make the old turnaround in Marituba. Drivers traveling from Marituba to Belém can access the overpass and head towards the Viária Loop, making the journey faster.
Mobility - The new overpass connects BR-316, in the direction of Belém-Marituba, to Avenida Independência, allowing access to the center of Ananindeua and returning to the capital. Similarly, it can be used by those traveling along Avenida Independência who wish to head to Belém or Marituba.

The Education agent Kleyson Ramos said that "the agents are here precisely to guide, and since it is a novelty, drivers can be a bit confused. The agents explain to drivers coming from BR-316 who want to access Independência that they can turn right, go up the overpass, and follow along Independência to also access the center of Ananindeua. For BR-316, just go straight. If you go up the overpass incorrectly and want to return to BR-316, you go up, make a turnaround at Independência, and come down the overpass normally onto BR-316," he said.

During the approach, motorcyclist Wagner Nogueira, who is also a truck driver, spoke about the importance of guidance for drivers. "I always pass here on the BR and found this action very important because they provided some information about the overpass and how to return to the BR without having to go all the way to Marituba to make the next turnaround. This helps a lot. I myself have already used the overpass and it helped me a lot, especially since it has also greatly improved vehicle traffic here," he assured.
