Hospital do Mulher do Pará holds 1st Nursing Week
Event promotes the appreciation of professionals and brings reflection on nursing and its relationship with sustainability

The opening of the 1st Nursing Week at the Hospital da Mulher do Pará (HMPA), held this Monday (12), revisited the importance of professionals on all fronts, including an approach to encouraging sustainable actions in public health, aiming for the 30th United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP 30). With the central theme "Planetary Health: challenges and the role of nursing critique", the event features a diverse program that continues until this Tuesday (13), promoting debates, experiences, and recognition of the essential work of nursing.
Over these two days, nurses and nursing technicians participate in lectures, personal care sessions, as well as cultural presentations with regional artistic groups, creating moments of welcome and relaxation for health professionals.

For nurse Larissa Castro, working at a hospital that is a reference in women's care restores the satisfaction of working in the field. "As a woman, it is important to feel this appreciation and as a professional also when receiving this care, because we take care of others and when we are cared for, we can take even better care of our patients and the environment we live in," she evaluated.
According to the assistant director of HMPA, Ane Francy, Nursing Week invites reflection on the impacts of professionals in the field on human life and the health of the environment. "This theme is very important and interesting. At the same time that it is urgent, it is necessary. And I believe that we contribute very positively and can do even more. So, to all of you, my admiration, my respect, my friendship. Gratitude for all the dedication you have shown. The presence of each one has a direct impact on the health of our planet and on the health of our women who pass through the hospital," she emphasized.
Intensive care physician Nelma Machado, general director of HMPA, highlights the humanization in hospital practices through nursing professionals, who play a vital role in comprehensive patient care.
"This is a moment and a space to value those who, when it comes to care, refer to the professionals who work in nursing, who promote a humanized work environment and intense support for the management of the hospital," the manager highlighted.

Miriã Leite, nursing technician, shares that the tribute and reflections on the importance of the profession show the difference that nursing has to offer to society. "For me, it has been very gratifying to participate in this project, in all these lectures, to feel this care for us and what we represent for health in the world," concludes the professional.
