Búfalos da Medicina Athletic Association wins back-to-back championship at the XI Intermed Norte
The group, formed by students of the Medicine course, also won gold, silver, and bronze medals in various sports.
The battery of the Búfalos da Medicina Athletic Association, from the State University of Pará (Uepa), won the title of overall back-to-back champion among the batteries of the XI Intermed Norte - a competition among medical schools held in early May in Gurupi, Tocantins. The group is formed by students from the Medicine course at the Center for Biological and Health Sciences (CCBS/campus II) in Belém.
The group also became champions in the following sports: men's handball and women's poker, winning the gold medal; men's volleyball and men's swimming, winning silver medals; and women's handball, women's swimming, and table tennis, winning bronze medals.

The Búfalos battery also received banners in the categories of best conductor, best agogô, best tamborim, best repique, best third surdo, and best marking surdos. The Athletic Association has established its presence as one of the great powers of Intermed, leaving its mark on and off the courts.
Integration - The Búfalos battery recently performed at the 2025 Uepa opening class, being a constant presence in the results of the Selection Process (Prosel), energizing the freshmen's party at the institution. Founded in 2013, the Búfalos Athletic Association seeks to integrate battery rehearsals and sports with academic life.

University Athletic Associations play a fundamental role in students' lives by promoting integration, team spirit, and physical and mental well-being, in addition to strengthening the sense of belonging and contributing to a more complete education both inside and outside the classroom.
