Estação das Docas kicks off 25th anniversary celebration with festive night by the river
The festivities continue this Saturday (17) and Sunday (18), with activities for children, sustainability actions, tributes, and musical performances of different styles, ranging from brega to pop rock.

With the sunset reflected over the Guajará Bay and a celebratory atmosphere in the air, Estação das Docas began its special programming for its 25th anniversary this Friday (16). The space, which is one of the most important tourist complexes in the State, was filled with locals and tourists who attended the first night of the event, marked by music, memory, and joy.
In the late afternoon, the group Som de Pau Oco inaugurated the stage set up between warehouses 1 and 2 with regional rhythms that got the audience dancing, initiating the festive birthday atmosphere.

Next, singer Artur Espíndola took the stage with a vibrant repertoire that included samba and MPB. “It’s a joy to be here celebrating this place that is a symbol of our culture, which welcomes the people and artists of the city. The Estação is alive, it’s ours,” commented the artist during the performance.
A night to remember
Those who passed through the Estação on Friday night were able to relive memories and also create new ones. This was the case for a tourist from São Paulo who visited Belém for the first time and had her first contact with carimbó right at the opening of the programming.

“Today here at Estação das Docas I had the opportunity to learn and dance carimbó for the first time; it was an incredible experience! I am enchanted with the city, with the culture, and especially with the people of Pará, who are extremely welcoming. I walked around a lot, met people, explored the local cuisine, which is wonderful, and was able to experience the grandeur of this rich culture up close. I want to enjoy every moment here and I am already planning to come back tomorrow and on Sunday to enjoy even more. I hope this wonderful culture spreads throughout Brazil and the world, especially now, with Belém being the host of COP 30. Congratulations to Belém do Pará, to the Estação das Docas team, and to everyone who keeps this tradition alive. I am simply in love with all of this,” reported the excited tourist Nina da Rocha Pereira from Jundiaí (SP).
The president of the Social Organization Pará 2000, Ruan Rocha, was also present and spoke about the opening of the celebration.
“It was a beautiful night, with everything we have best, music, culture, and even that rain that cannot be missed to give a special charm to our very peculiar climate. Estação das Docas represents a lot for the city and for Pará, and seeing this space full of people celebrating our culture is a reason for pride and inspiration for us to continue working even harder,” highlighted Rocha.
