Special programming celebrates the 3rd anniversary of the Usina da Paz in Parauapebas, in southeastern Pará
The programming celebrated, in advance, the anniversary of the Usina da Paz of the municipality, which completes 3 years of foundation this Sunday (18).
Residents of Parauapebas, in southeastern Pará, participated last Friday (16) in a special program that celebrated in advance the anniversary of the Usina da Paz of the municipality. The unit completes 3 years of foundation this Sunday (18).
The celebration gathered a large audience on a special afternoon that included a series of leisure and aesthetic services, water sports, games, as well as cultural performances that entertained the present audience.
For the residents of the neighborhood, the program was a great opportunity to celebrate the existence and the positive changes brought about by the Usina da Paz in the community, as stated by resident Maria Oneide Silva. “The Usina has already changed a lot in my life. It is a very good space for children and teenagers, who are encouraged not to go down the wrong path. I wish congratulations to the Usina and to the whole community. We feel happy to participate and I invite everyone to come and get to know the project,” she said.
“This is a very special program that celebrates with the community the 3 years of the Usina da Paz in Parauapebas, a project that was born with the purpose of transforming lives and promoting citizenship. It is very important to be able to celebrate together and ensure services and leisure for the population, which is part of this story,” declared the State Secretary of Citizenship Articulation, Elieth Braga.
Usina da Paz Parauapebas - Located in the Jardim Tropical I neighborhood, the state complex has established itself as a reference in serving the local population, with over 70 free services that bring more quality of life, reduce violence, and promote social transformation for the community.
The Usina da Paz Parauapebas was the fifth unit of the largest citizenship project in Latin America delivered by the Government of Pará and the first in the southeastern region of the State, in the Carajás region. Since its opening, over one million services have already been provided at the state citizenship complex.
Usinas da Paz - The Usinas da Paz are citizenship complexes implemented by the State Government to promote social inclusion, reduce violence, and improve the quality of life of the population in vulnerable areas of the State.
The project is part of the Territories for Peace program (TerPaz). Since 2021, with the delivery of the first Usina da Paz, the citizenship complexes have already guaranteed over 9.3 million services. Currently, 13 units are already in full operation, in the capital and in the interior of the State.
