The Coordination of Goods in Transit Control of the State Department of Finance (Sefa), in Araguaia, seized 35 thousand liters of aviation gasoline in Conceição do Araguaia on Saturday (17). The goods left Jardinópolis (SP) destined for São Félix do Xingu, Paragominas, Redenção, and Conceição do Araguaia, in southeastern Pará.

"The gasoline was in a tank truck and the driver presented four invoices totaling R$ 330,050.00. Upon analyzing the documents, it was observed that the fuel distributor did not have a state registration related to tax substitution (ST). And according to the National Council of Tax Policy (Confaz) ICMS Agreement 15/2023, the tax on fuel must be collected in advance, which did not happen," informed the coordinator of the tax unit, Renato Couto. The unit is located at km 15 of the PA-447 highway.

Four Terms of Seizure and Deposit (TADs) were drawn up totaling R$ 92,610.00, referring to the tax and fine.

Gurupi - On Friday (16), at the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control of the State Department of Finance (Sefa) in Gurupi, northeastern Pará, 353 cans of glue were seized hidden among a load of sandals without fiscal documentation.

The seizure occurred in the municipality of Cachoeira do Piriá, on the border of Pará with Maranhão. "A truck from Pedrinhas (CE), destined for several cities in Pará, was stopped by the inspection. The fiscal documents were presented, and during the analysis, it was observed that the invoice presented listed sandals and various types of women's bags as the cargo. The inspectors decided to physically verify the goods and found that the number of sandals and bags matched those stated in the fiscal document. However, while conducting the physical verification, they found the cans of glue of various types hidden without any fiscal documentation," informed the coordinator of the Gurupi unit, Gustavo Bozola.

The goods were appraised according to market values at R$ 59,871.00. A Term of Seizure and Deposit (TAD) was drawn up for R$ 20,475.88, referring to the tax and fine, which was paid and the goods were released.

Carajás - Also on Friday (16), during inspections by Sefa officials at the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control in Carajás, southeastern Pará, a load of 10 tons of synthetic grass, adhesive glue, and carpets was seized, valued at R$ 179,521.57.

The seizure took place at the Jarbas Passarinho fiscal post, at km 120 of BR-230, in Palestina do Pará. "The goods were destined for a final consumer who is not a taxpayer in the state of Pará, coming from São Paulo (SP)," reported coordinator Cicinato Oliveira.

Since the goods did not collect the Differential Rate of ICMS (Difal) due to the State of Pará, related to the interstate operation destined for a non-taxpayer, a Term of Seizure and Deposit (TAD) was drawn up for the ICMS and fine, amounting to R$ 32,429.70. The amount was paid and the goods were released.
