Sefa seizes industrial machine worth R$ 2.8 million in Dom Eliseu
In Cachoeira do Piriá, two transmitting equipment valued at R$ 122,000.00 were seized

State revenue inspectors from the Pará State Department of Finance (Sefa) seized, on Tuesday, the 20th, an industrial machine valued at R$ 2,836,500.00, coming from São Paulo/SP and destined for Santa Bárbara do Pará. The officials are assigned to the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of Itinga, in the municipality of Dom Eliseu, northeast of the State.
“The equipment was covered by an invoice with the nature described as 'Shipment for Demonstration'. At the time of the inspection, it was found that another identical machine had been sent to the same recipient and released at the same tax post hours earlier, justified as a demonstration. The driver claimed it was a complementary operation, but the analysis of the documentation showed that both invoices describe complete and independent machines, which disqualifies the demonstration purpose, according to the legislation governing this type of operation, which requires sending only the necessary quantity for product knowledge,” commented the coordinator of the tax unit of Itinga, Rafael Brasil.
A Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was drawn up, charging tax and a fine in the amount of R$ 128,914.45.

Gurupi – On Monday, the 19th, two transmitting equipment valued at R$ 122,000.00 were seized at the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of Gurupi, which were being transported from São Luís/MA to Barcarena, with irregular documentation. The seizure occurred in Cachoeira do Piriá, northeastern Pará.
“After the inspection began and the tax documents were delivered, the officials suspected the nature of the operation indicated on the invoice, which stated 'other goods exits' and did not highlight the ICMS. In the complementary information, it stated that it was a loan for later return. The inspection requested the company for a loan or rental contract for the equipment and was informed that no such document existed,” said coordinator Gustavo Bozola.
The invoice was disregarded and a Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was drawn up in the amount of R$ 41,727.28.
