State delivers more than 460 land titles in Bragança
Governor highlights legal security and investments in agriculture at the land regularization ceremony

The government of Pará today, May 23, delivered 466 land titles, benefiting 24 communities in the territory of Bragança, in the northeastern region of Pará. This initiative is part of the rural land regularization project, which aims to guarantee rights and promote legal security for farmers in the region.
During the ceremony, the governor of Pará, Helder Barbalho, emphasized the importance of the measure. "We continue to invest and care for family farming to strengthen production, which ensures food on the table and jobs. The land title is essential to boost this production. It is a right," he highlighted. The governor also pointed out that, just today, more than 400 definitive titles were delivered, bringing the total to 50,000 across Pará. "This delivery is an important step for the development of agriculture in Pará," he concluded.

The mayor of Bragança, Dr. Mário, expressed his gratitude to the governor and highlighted the collaboration between local and state authorities. "This partnership is not new, but has been going on for a long time. Bragança is advancing like Pará, at the same pace," said the mayor during the event.
Among the beneficiaries, José Maria da Silva, an 81-year-old farmer, shared his emotion upon receiving the definitive title after 66 years of waiting. "It is the greatest joy because I finally received it. I have been working on my land since I was young, planting corn, rice, beans... It is hard work, but rewarding," reported the visibly emotional farmer. When asked about his expectation upon receiving the call from the government, he replied: "Thank God, they called, and I came here today happy."

Land regularization goes beyond the delivery of documents; it represents a commitment to strengthening family farming in the region and promoting a dignified life for those who depend on the land to live. From 2019 to 2025, Bragança has already recorded the delivery of 1,782 land titles, reflecting the government's effort to change the local land reality.
At the end of the event, Governor Helder Barbalho reiterated the importance of the moment, stating that "the delivery of titles is a way to ensure a better future for families who live from agriculture. We are here to uphold the right to land."
