Those arriving or leaving Belém by river have the "Luiz Rebelo Neto" Waterway Terminal (THB) as a mandatory stop. Inaugurated on May 23, 2014, the terminal is celebrating its 11th anniversary and is undergoing revitalization works to provide more comfort and safety to passengers during boarding and disembarking. The interventions are carried out by the Government of Pará, through the Port and Waterway Company of the State of Pará (CPH).

“It is with great joy that we celebrate the 11th anniversary of the Belém Waterway Terminal. Since its inauguration, the terminal has been much more than a boarding and disembarking point: it is a bridge between people, a link between riverside municipalities and the capital, a symbol of integration and citizenship. Over the years, millions of passengers have passed through here, benefiting from a service that combines safety, respect, and minimal environmental impact with our rich river vocation. The Waterway Terminal is an example of how it is possible to enhance our regional characteristics with efficiency and planning. May many more anniversaries come, with even more achievements,” highlighted CPH president, Hilton Aguiar.

Located in Warehouse 10 of the Pará Dock Company (CDP), the THB is managed by the Port and Waterway Company of the State of Pará (CPH). The strategic location allows easy access for passengers, including on foot, to tourist attractions, parks, shops, malls, and concert halls.

With a built area of 5,000 m², the terminal offers complete infrastructure, including boarding and disembarking areas, covered floating platforms, accessibility for people with reduced mobility, luggage storage, snack bars, kiosks, and ticket counters.

Safety – Those passing through the THB have the support of rooms from the Childhood and Youth Court – located next to Gate B – and Pro Paz, in addition to policing carried out by agents of the Pará Military Police.

Traffic – In April 2025, more than 55,000 passengers passed through the THB. A total of 479 trips were made, with 241 arrivals and 238 departures. The most sought-after destinations continue to be those located in the Marajó Archipelago: Soure, Salvaterra, Ponta de Pedras, and Cachoeira do Arari.
