The Government of Pará is advancing with land regularization throughout the state by delivering, this Saturday (24), about 400 land titles in the municipality of Tomé-Açu, in the integration region of the Rio Capim. The action benefited families and producers of family agriculture from 19 communities who, upon receiving the document, gain legal security and will be able to access credit lines to improve production and enhance the socioeconomic development of the region.

During the delivery, the governor of Pará, Helder Barbalho, congratulated the team from the Institute of Lands of Pará (Iterpa), which worked tirelessly to expedite land regularization. "We are approaching 50 thousand land titles delivered," he announced.

"With the title comes peace in the field, legal security, access to credit, and development with assistance," pointed out the head of the State Executive.

This was the second time, just in 2025, that the government delivered land titles in the municipality.

"Land regularization is fundamental, it is a priority and it is strategic to advance rural production - especially in land justice in family agriculture. It is to ensure that the small producer, the one who produces for their subsistence and to supply local markets, can have their land title," reinforced Helder Barbalho.

João Paiva

The farmer João Paiva waited 20 years to obtain the title for the property where he and his family cultivate beans, cocoa, and açaí. When he received the document, he could not contain his joy. "I will get home and tell my family that the land is now ours! It is a dream come true," exclaimed the producer.

José Guilherme Amaro

For the farmer José Guilherme Amaro, the land title will be an achievement that he will leave for his children and grandchildren. "I leave here with a legacy that will remain for them," he emphasized.

His family has crops of cassava, pumpkin, green herbs, rice, and beans. Therefore, the farmer intends to obtain financing from the bank to modernize the production process. "We will invest to improve our activity," projected José.

The mayor of Tomé-Açu, Carlos da Vila Nova, highlighted exactly the possibility for family agriculture producers to now have the opportunity to obtain credit lines and thus improve the economic development of the municipality. "Now, you have a real document to obtain resources," he signaled to the farmers.

The mayor also reinforced the partnership with the State to ensure development for Tomé-Açu. "It was the governor who issued the most land titles," emphasized Carlos. He also recalled that the Government of Pará brought asphalt and built bridges in the city, improving mobility and ensuring the flow of production.

Two thousand titles in 3 days - In the last three days, the Government of Pará delivered about 2 thousand land titles in three municipalities in the integration regions of the Rio Caeté (Bragança and Viseu) and Rio Capim (Tomé-Açu, this Saturday 24).

Lucilene Ferreira

The farmer Lucilene dos Santos, 50 years old, was one of the beneficiaries. She lives in the community of Nova Esperança, in Tomé-Açu. She works with the cultivation of cassava, açaí, soursop, and orange. "Receiving the land title removes our insecurity regarding land ownership. We plant to eat and to contribute to the development of the State of Pará," she emphasized.
