Detran intensifies inspection operations and records arrests, fines, and seizures
The actions resulted in 11 arrests for driving under the influence (traffic crimes) and 34 fines for various infractions

The State Department of Transit (Detran) expanded its inspection operations on state highways this past weekend, on BR-316 (from kilometer 01 to 18) and in municipalities where there are inspection agents from the agency. The actions resulted in 11 arrests for driving under the influence (traffic crimes) and 34 fines for various infractions, with most of them recorded in Salinópolis, in northeastern Pará, one of the most sought-after tourist destinations in the state, especially on weekends when vehicle traffic tends to be heavier.
In addition to the fines, the inspection teams seized two counterfeit National Driver's Licenses (CNHs). One of the seizures occurred during an inspection on BR-316, an important route connecting the Metropolitan Region of Belém to the interior of the state, and the other in the municipality of Castanhal. The counterfeit CNHs were forwarded to the Civil Police for the appropriate legal procedures, demonstrating Detran's integrated action with other public security agencies in combating irregularities in traffic.
The coordinator of Detran's Inspection Operations, Ivan Feitosa, emphasized the scope of the actions taken. “The operations are taking place on state highways and on BR-316, from km 01 to 18, and in other municipalities where we have inspection agents in the Ciretrans,” the coordinator informed.

Detran's inspection operations aim to curb practices that endanger road safety, such as driving under the influence of alcohol, which, in addition to being a serious infraction, represents one of the main risk factors for the occurrence of serious and fatal accidents. The state traffic authority also reinforces the fight against the circulation of irregular documents, such as counterfeit CNHs, which compromise not only safety but also the credibility of the licensing and inspection system.
Detran continues to operate continuously and visibly, focusing on preserving lives, reducing accidents, and promoting safer and more organized traffic in all regions of Pará. The operations are expected to continue in the coming days, especially on roads with higher vehicle traffic, such as BR-316, and state highways, as well as in urban areas covered by Ciretrans that have inspection teams.
