Paintings of the new overpasses delivered by the State Government exalt the Amazonian fauna and flora
In addition to improving mobility, the equipment values the work of Pará artists

The choice of vibrant colors to portray the Amazonian fauna and flora was the strategy used by the muralist and visual artist from Pará, Jeferson Cardoso, to depict the region's biodiversity on the walls of the overpass at BR-316 with Avenida Independência, in Ananindeua. Herons, water lilies, rivers, red and blue macaws are among the highlights of the painting.
"My inspiration for this work drew a lot from the context of COP 30, emphasizing awareness and environmental preservation. On the city entrance side, I brought elements from the forest, while on the exit, I worked with references from the mangrove. Having the opportunity to have this space in such an important work for the State is very gratifying. While it values us as artists, the panels strengthen the care for the environment," he says.

The three overpasses, recently delivered by the State Government, one at Avenida Mário Covas with Avenida Três Corações, in Ananindeua, and the other two at BR-316 with Alça Viária, in Marituba, and with Avenida Independência, in Ananindeua, feature artistic interventions by Pará professionals.
"The main inspiration for these paintings on the equipment is the biodiversity of our Amazon. The variety of colors that depict the local fauna and flora reminds us of the need to preserve this biome that is important for the world," emphasizes Adler Silveira, Secretary of State for Infrastructure and Logistics.
The works are part of the structural investment package aimed at the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP 30), which will be held in November in Belém, and represents another legacy of urban mobility for the entire Metropolitan Region of Belém (RMB), benefiting more than 500,000 people.

Resident near the overpass at BR-316 with Alça Viária, in Marituba, journalist Paulo Bagaral celebrates the improvements in traffic and the investment in beautifying the city. “Especially for those who live and work in the region, the delivery of the overpass has greatly improved vehicle flow, in addition to giving a new look to the city. Seeing young Pará artists showcasing their talent is wonderful. The overpass is efficient and beautiful too,” he points out.
Responsible for the paintings of the new overpasses at Avenida Mário Covas with Três Corações and at BR-316 with Alça Viária, artist Moisés Oliveira, 48, known as MPris graffitis, has been working in the profession for over 20 years. The two works will be unforgettable for the professional, who had the opportunity to work with his daughters, artists Clara and Glória Oliveira, on the team.
“It was incredible to work on such an important project for the population and at such a special moment, with the arrival of COP 30, when the planet needs, more and more, our love and care for it. The word for this moment is gratitude,” says the artist.

Housewife Valdirene Pinheiro, a resident near the overpass at BR-316 with Avenida Independência, in Ananindeua, says that the population has gained more quality of life with the works. “This was an area that suffered from flooding and very intense traffic, problems that were solved with the delivery of this investment, which also values our natural beauties and our State. It is a source of pride to see these works happening,” she concludes.
