Detran recovers vehicle with theft restriction on Alça Viária in Marituba
The inspection included video monitoring and referral of the case to the authorities
During a routine inspection carried out on Thursday morning (30), agents from the State Department of Transit (Detran) recovered a vehicle with a theft/robbery restriction on Alça Viária, at kilometer 7.
The action was made possible thanks to the intelligent video monitoring system “Sentinela,” which detected the presence of a vehicle with a restriction record. Agent Almir dos Santos da Silva was responsible for the approach. “The system identified the vehicle with a restriction. I made the approach and referred it to the 18th Urban Section of Marituba for presentation to the police authority,” he reported.
According to the agent, the driver presented himself as an employee of a fuel company and informed that he was using the car for company purposes. He claimed to be unaware that the vehicle had a theft record.
After consulting the system, the active restriction was confirmed. The occurrence was recorded with the drafting of a Police Report and a Term of Exhibition and Seizure, with the support of the Civil Police. The vehicle was seized for legal proceedings and investigation of criminal responsibility.
Detran emphasizes that actions like this are essential for traffic safety, as they inhibit the circulation of irregular vehicles and strengthen integrated action with public security agencies, providing swift responses in combating crime.
