Native herbs and essences from the Amazon in soap form or as seedlings attract the public at Flor Pará
Some producers participating in the event are already working with initiatives to verticalize production - even if it is still in a family system - and the results are already being felt by them.

The traditional herbs from Pará, such as "levante", "chama", "oregano", "rosemary", "rue", "holy grass", among others, can be found until this Sunday (8), at Flor Pará, at the Hangar Convention Center, not only in the form of seedlings but also in bars of soap manufactured in the capital of Pará. The program includes the Amazon Cocoa and Chocolate Fair, promoted by the Secretary of Agricultural Development and Fisheries (Sedap) and the Faepa/Senar System.

Agronomist Deuza Aguiar, who has been working with herbs and plants through nurseries and the Botanical House, located in the Tenoné neighborhood in Belém, presents at her stand, among other products, soaps manufactured through a partnership with "Puramazônia - artisanal soap and the scent of Pará".
Some types of soap have attracted a lot of attention, such as the "açaí soap". The agronomist supplies the herbs to the company and thus verticalizes her production.

"I produce herbs and ended up partnering with two friends who produce soap. So the herbs they acquire from our venture appear in the form of soap, which is also produced here in Belém. That's why I brought them; we also produce decorative and ornamental plants."
She said that this verticalization in the sector is very important to enhance and expand the market for those who work with Amazon plants.
"This is very cool, because although it is not done on an industrial scale, it is still quite family-oriented, the product is very good," she said.

The acceptance, according to her, has been good. The aroma attracts a lot of attention, especially from herbs like "catinga de mulata" and "andiroba" and "basil essential oil".
Sustainability of the herbs - One of the visitors to Flor Pará who does not miss the chance to acquire soaps made with herbs and essences from the Amazon is Sandra Aquino. For her, the product, besides having a pleasant aroma, is a sustainable option.

"It is also an option to show our products made with Amazon herbs, especially now with COP30, this will boost all Amazon products to be known worldwide," she said.
For the visitor, each year the edition of events that have cocoa, chocolate, and flowers and plants as a focus only improves and increases the variety.
"I always come and found many plant stands, very good. The number of participants has increased a lot and each year it gains a much larger proportion. This is very good."

Flor Pará offers a wide variety of flowers and plants, such as the famous "lucky bamboo", one of the most visited spaces, also Bougainville, monstera, the traditional rose bushes cultivated in the Amazon, and even cacti are among the most sought after at the event, in addition to accessories such as pots and mini-arrangements.
Service: Flor Pará (and the Amazon Cocoa and Chocolate Fair) can be visited from 4 PM to 9 PM this Sunday (8), the last day of the event.
