State Government School qualifies over 2,200 public servants in the Capacita COP 30 Program
The program helps the general society and public servants to be prepared for the 30th United Nations Conference on Climate Change
"Receptive English for Driver Servants", "Libras Course" and "Instrumental English for Public Security Forces" are just a few of the courses offered by the Government of the State of Pará through the State School of Public Governance of Pará (EGPA) since the beginning of the entity's participation in Capacita COP 30. More than 2,200 certified students are ready to attend COP 30, which will take place in the second half of 2025.
Ethics practices and improving communication with foreign audiences, this was one of the lessons learned by Marcelo Santiago during the course "Receptive English for Driver Servants". The servant from the State Secretariat of Social Assistance, Labor, Employment and Income (Seaster) highlights the importance of the course, as the city of Belém will receive many visitors during the COP 30 period.
"Enhancing knowledge is very important, as it is an opportunity to improve as a professional, taking advantage of the great moment that our state and our capital will experience with the holding of the United Nations Conference on Climate Change. Something unique for all Belém residents," Marcelo says about the opportunity.
Promoted by the Government of the State of Pará, through the Secretariat of Science, Technology and Higher, Professional and Technological Education (Sectet), the Capacita COP 30 Program aims to plan, coordinate, formulate and monitor the courses offered. According to Andrey Rabelo, coordinator of the Capacita COP 30 Program, the initiative between the two agencies is strategic so that state servants are qualified to receive people from all over the world.
"With EGPA we have training support and promote, mainly in a very assertive way, with flexibility of schedule, model of offer, so we know that EGPA is fulfilling this role in the public service," says Andrey Rabelo about the courses offered by the Governance School.
Public security, education servants and others were in the classroom to enhance their knowledge not only for COP 30 but also for the legacy that the event will leave for the state of Pará. For Helvio Arruda, general director of EGPA, training public servants is investing in the continuous improvement of public service and the well-being of the entire community.
"The inclusion of the Governance School in the Capacita COP 30 program aligns with its main objective, which is to qualify public servants of our state, this time aligning training with preparation for COP 30," concludes the general director.
