The State Government, through the Technical Assistance and Rural Extension Company of the State of Pará (Emater - Pará), delivered eleven National Family Agriculture Registrations (CAF) to farmers from the Cooperative of Family Farmers of Marituba (COOPMarituba) and Salvaterra, this Saturday (14), during the Açaí Pará Festival program, held at Hangar - Amazon Convention and Exhibition Center, in Belém.

"I thought it was great to receive this CAF from Emater because it gives access to several important programs for us, farmers. This benefit is good for us to market our inputs. I have been working with my husband in the cultivation of ornamental plants and chicken production for six years. It will greatly improve our lives," said Maria Castilho, a farmer in the community of Bela Vista, in Marituba.

The coordinator of COOPMarituba, Abraão Braga, stated that the delivery of the CAF to farmers will provide recognition in the activities of the benefited farmers. "This is the first important document for us, farmers, and for our cooperatives. Just this month, we have already obtained twenty-five CAFs for our cooperative. We will now have access to achieve other benefits, such as rural credit, retirement, among others," he emphasized.

For the president of Emater, Joniel Abreu, the action is part of one of Emater's main initiatives to provide access to fundamental public policies for people who live and work in the countryside, to improve the quality of life for families.

"The CAF opens doors to various public policies. When a farming family has access to the National Family Farmer Registration, they can apply, through Emater itself, for various public policies, such as access to rural credit, social security benefits aimed at farmers, such as rural retirement, sickness assistance, among others," he emphasized.

Services and knowledge - The Açaí Pará Festival was held from June 13 to 14, organized by the Secretary of Agricultural Development and Fisheries (Sedap), with the participation of various state secretariats and public agencies.

And as for the people of Pará, talking about açaí also means talking about flour, like the traditional Bragança flour, at Emater's booth, among various products offered to the public, such as handicrafts, sweets, among other products, the flour attracted great attention from the audience.

The exhibitor, Ingrid Alhadef, left the event very satisfied. The public was familiar with and had the right to taste the products. "I thought our participation here at the fair was good, and I thank Emater for the invitation because it helps in promoting our products. Many business opportunities arose from our participation, and I am happy to be able to showcase our Bragança flour," she concluded.

During the two days of programming, various actions and services aimed at promoting the natural fruit of our region and caring for the final consumer were presented.
