Usina da Paz de Capanema opens its doors and engages the community
The new citizenship complex of the State Government has begun serving the population with free health and citizenship services

The new Usina da Paz in the municipality of Capanema, in northeastern Pará, opened its doors this Monday (16), starting appointments for providing services to the population. The new unit was officially delivered last Saturday (14), during a festive afternoon organized by the State Government.

Since the early hours of the morning, there has been intense movement at the 14th unit of the largest social transformation and public safety project in Latin America, with residents seeking services such as document issuance and medical consultations.
Housewife Simone Reis, 35, was one of the first to secure an appointment at the location. “I found it wonderful. We have never had a space like this in Capanema, with so many free services. I have already scheduled my ID and I will enroll my daughter in swimming classes. It’s a great opportunity for all of us,” she said.

Barber Fabrício Albuquerque, 33, also approved the arrival of UsiPaz. “We have always heard about this project and now we have it here. It’s very important, especially for those who cannot afford courses and services. I believe that the arrival of the plant here will also improve safety and the lives of all of us who live in the region,” he shared.
Services - In addition to health and citizenship services, Usina da Paz will also offer the community spaces for sports practices, vocational courses, music, theater, and dance workshops, health actions, and social support. In total, more than 70 free services will be available on-site.
The expectation is that around 70,000 residents of the region will benefit from the services offered by the new unit, consolidating UsiPaz of Capanema as an important citizenship and community development facility.
“We are very happy to start the activities of Usina da Paz de Capanema, a facility that arrives to transform lives and strengthen citizenship in the municipality. Here, the population will have free access to health services, professional training, sports, culture, and leisure, all in one place. We invite everyone to come and experience the available services,” declared the State Secretary of Citizenship Articulation, Elieth Braga.

More Usinas - Usina da Paz Capanema joins 13 other units already in full operation in Belém (Jurunas/Condor, Guamá, Terra Firme, Bengui, and Cabanagem); in the municipalities of Ananindeua, Marituba, Benevides, and Castanhal, in the Metropolitan Region; Abaetetuba, in Baixo Tocantins, and Marabá, Parauapebas, and Canaã dos Carajás, in southeastern Pará.

The schedule of courses and activities can be consulted in person at the Usina or through the official Instagram @usinasdapaz.
