With the support of the coordination of the Autism Spectrum Disorder Care Center (Natea), of the Integrated Center for Inclusion and Rehabilitation (CIIR), a group of mothers of users assisted by the unit promoted a special program to celebrate the June festivities. The activity took place this Wednesday (18), in Belém, and brought together 36 mothers, responsible for organizing the event, which also included dances, typical foods, and a beauty pageant.

The celebration was marked by moments of relaxation and integration, to value the role of caregiver mothers and strengthen family ties in the therapeutic environment.

According to the assistant coordinator of Natea, Vanessa Teixeira, the initiative came from the mothers themselves, as a form of fellowship and welcome.

“In the face of the intense routine of therapies, events like this strengthen the bonds between families and promote moments of leisure and welcome,” she emphasized.

One of the organizers, Vanessa Cunha, a 42-year-old atypical mother, highlighted the importance of the gesture to welcome new mothers arriving at the unit.

“It is a gesture of welcome and also a way for us to unite. Here we exchange experiences, create bonds, and strengthen ourselves. This makes all the difference,” she said.

For Odileusa Campos, mother of two users of Natea, the event represented more than just fun.

“It is a moment to forget a little about the difficulties, smile, and be together. This strengthens us as a group and as a family,” she stated.
