Sedeme and Sebrae promote the course "Product Pricing" for microentrepreneurs
Targeted at individual microentrepreneurs (MEIs), microenterprises (MEs), and small businesses (EPPs) in the commerce, services, and industry sectors, the course aims to train participants in the strategic definition of selling prices.

The Secretary of Economic Development, Mining and Energy (Sedeme), through the Directorate of Industry, Commerce and Services Development (DDCIS), in partnership with the Brazilian Service of Support for Micro and Small Enterprises (Sebrae/PA), held this week the course "Product Pricing" at the São José Liberto Space in Belém.

The training was divided into two classes, each lasting four hours, and took place on Tuesday (17) and Wednesday (18), always from 2 PM to 6 PM. The course aimed to guide individual microentrepreneurs (MEIs), microenterprises (MEs), and small businesses (EPPs) in defining efficient strategies for pricing products and services.

Participant Jefferson Tavares Silva, 29, highlighted the importance of the learning for his professional future. "I am self-employed and want to open my own business in the motorcycle parts sector. All the knowledge I am acquiring will help me make more assertive decisions," he stated.
Jefferson has already participated in other training sessions promoted by the Government of Pará, such as the Business Roots project at the Usina da Paz Cabanagem. "I always try to take advantage of these opportunities because I know it will make a difference when I open my business," he added.
During the training, participants learned to identify fixed and variable costs, calculate profit margins, and develop pricing strategies suitable for their business realities.

The accountant and consultant from Sebrae-PA, Lucilene Cardias, responsible for teaching the course, emphasized that proper pricing is fundamental for the success of any business. "The entrepreneur needs to know their business costs to set a price that ensures profitability without driving away consumers," she explained.
For the director of DDCIS/Sedeme, Sherry Rodrigues, the course provides essential tools for strengthening entrepreneurs. "Proper pricing contributes to the financial sustainability of businesses and helps align market expectations with the entrepreneur's reality," she emphasized.
