Seduc adheres to the National Teacher Exam notice
Registrations start on July 14, and the exam will become one of the evaluation criteria for the upcoming Selection Processes of the State Department of Education
From July 14 to 25, registrations for the National Teacher Exam (PND) will be open. The notice was published by the Ministry of Education (MEC) last Tuesday, the 17th.
The exam is coordinated by the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research (Inep) and will be administered on October 26, nationwide. The evaluation may be used as a single or complementary stage of public competitions or selection processes in states and municipalities.
As a national and unified exam, the PND aims to be an evaluation tool to support public networks in the country in their selection processes. For this reason, the State Department of Education (Seduc) has adhered to the Exam through ordinance No. 83/2025, determining that the Simplified Selection Processes (PSS) aimed at teachers adopt it as one of the stages of the competition.
"In practice, this means that anyone who wants to apply to be a temporary teacher in the network in a future competition will need to register for the National Exam. A good score on the PND will allow you to stand out in the selection processes of the network, which will also have the usual other stages," explains the Deputy Secretary of People Management Tiago Lima.
With a total duration of 5h30, the exam will consist of two parts, one of General Teacher Training, with 30 multiple-choice questions and one discursive question of content common to courses in all areas, while the other will be Specific Component, specific to each evaluation area of the teaching degrees, with 50 questions.
Registration for the National Teacher Exam - Final-year students registered in the National Student Performance Exam (Enade) of the Teaching Degrees will be able to participate in the evaluation automatically, without the need for a new registration, and will be exempt from the fee.
Citizens registered in the Unified Registry for Federal Government Social Programs (CadÚnico) and bone marrow donors are also exempt. For other candidates, the registration fee is R$ 85, and it must be paid by July 31.
More information can be obtained in the Notice No. 72/2025.
