Natea Caetés promotes semester closure with inclusive action
The event featured a series of activities, including workshops, games, and motor circuits, providing moments of fun, integration, and learning

To close the first semester of this year, the management of the Autism Spectrum Disorder Care Center (Natea), in Caetés, Capanema, northeastern Pará, held a health education and humanization action on the 25th and 26th, celebrating the advances in the assistance of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The activity had 285 participants, including users and their companions, referred by the primary care services of the 16 municipalities that make up the Caetés region.
The event featured a series of activities, including workshops, games, and motor circuits, providing moments of fun, integration, and learning among the participants. Parents, caregivers of users, as well as specialists also actively participated in the therapies, contributing to the creation of a welcoming and inclusive environment. The celebration reinforced the importance of community and family support in the development of people with autism.
According to psychologist Thais Santos, the moment of inclusion between families and users is of great importance. “The event goes beyond the proposal of fun; it provides valuable opportunities for socialization, sensory stimulation, and, through the rotation between rooms, promotes integration among peers in a playful and welcoming environment. This experience, carefully adapted with sensitivity, significantly contributes to the emotional, cognitive, and social development of children, reinforcing the feeling of belonging and inclusion.”

testimony - Among the participants was Henna Cristina Silva, 37 years old, mother of João Vitor Cabral do Nascimento, 10 years old, who has been undergoing therapies at the Center for a year and a half. A resident of the municipality of Peixe-Boi, she spoke about the importance of the event. “This festive moment is very important not only for him but for everyone; having this moment to interact with other colleagues is very good, it helps a lot in socializing and interacting, João has made great progress in this area of socialization.”
