Cultural Foundation of Pará offers basic computer workshop during the month of July at Curro Velho
Registrations must be made through an electronic form, available until the class is filled. Classes will take place between July 7 and 21. There are 15 spots available.
Registrations are open for the free basic computer workshop that will take place at the Curro Velho center, from July 07 to 21. People aged 12 and older can participate. The course offers 15 spots and registrations must be made through an electronic form.
The workshop is the result of collaboration between the Cultural Foundation of Pará (FCP) and the State Secretariat of Science, Technology and Professional and Technological Education (Sectet) with the aim of promoting access to technological education in FCP centers.
Led by Instructor Jorge Cleto, the workshop will prepare participants for the job market as well as enhance their digital skills and promote digital inclusion, considering that learning in the area of computing is fundamental for various daily activities and for personal and professional development.
According to the instructor, participants will learn the basics of using the desktop, folders, files, and how to manage them, internet navigation involving research, downloads, as well as the use of email and other online services. Additional resources such as information security: protection against viruses, malware, and online scams will also be covered. In addition to the concept of ergonomics, which involves posture and care when using the computer.
The computer workshop is part of the Amazon Maker project, which aims to offer computer courses to empower people to use digital tools in the online environment. The course syllabus includes fundamental concepts such as knowledge of hardware and software; physical and logical components of a computer. Covering the Windows operating system, exploring its functionalities and basic settings. In addition to applications such as: word processors, spreadsheets, internet browsers, among others.
