City Park receives over 4,000 people in a morning of sports and leisure
Organized by Seel, the free program included classes led by physical education professionals, citizenship and vaccination services, and confirmed an additional 2,000 registrations for Brazil's 1st Public Summer Camp

The City Park welcomed over 4,000 visitors on the morning of this Saturday (28) during a special program promoted by the State Secretariat of Sports and Leisure (Seel). The agenda included sports activities, recreational classes, and public services, as well as the confirmation of 2,000 new registrations for Brazil's 1st Public Summer Camp.

Physical education professionals from Seel conducted classes in skateboarding, table tennis, soccer, natural gymnastics, hip-hop, and dance for the elderly. The program also included services from the Public Defender's Office, such as issuing ID cards and legal guidance, in addition to vaccinations promoted by the Municipal Health Secretariat of Belém (Sesma). Vaccines were administered against influenza, diphtheria, tetanus, measles, yellow fever, HPV, and meningitis ACWY.
“The population gains a complete space for leisure, sports, and socializing. The City Park is a project of COP 30, designed for all ages and with extensive infrastructure. Throughout July, we will have free classes, workshops, and sports events to promote inclusion, well-being, and quality of life,” highlighted Seel head, Cássio Andrade.

Among the visitors, librarian Tiago Gomes, 37, praised the structure. “I have three children, and we need spaces like this. It’s a legacy that deserves applause.”
Program continues in the afternoon and evening
The activities this Saturday continue from 4 PM to 10 PM, with large table tennis and Muay Thai classes, football, basketball, and volleyball fundamentals workshops, as well as cultural attractions like live painting and the Geek Meeting, which includes a cosplay contest, K-pop performances, random play dance, and quizzes.
