The Amazon Foundation for Support of Studies and Research (Fapespa) participates in the 68th edition of the National CONFAP Forum 2025, in São Paulo (SP), held from July 2 to 4 (Wednesday to Friday). The event is organized by the National Council of State Foundations for Support of Research (CONFAP), in partnership with the São Paulo Research Foundation (Fapesp).

The Forum aims to discuss the future of technological innovation and research incentives; strengthen collaboration among national institutions and expand equitable long-term partnerships in cooperation with international institutions. The program includes presidents and directors of State Foundations for Support of Research (FAPs), representatives from federal agencies that promote Science, Technology, and Innovation, ministries, and international organizations. Fapespa is represented by its president, Marcel Botelho, who is also the vice-president of CONFAP, and by the Scientific Director Dayvison Medrado.

Marcel Botelho: 'great advance'

Marcel Botelho emphasized that CONFAP members "have autonomy and independence, and yet work together, which makes the negotiated operations extremely relevant and indispensable, and represents a great advance in the possibility of forming negotiated solutions that bring us closer, when the role is to discuss operational guidelines and the possibility of advancing these institutions."
