The Mangueirão Gamer Arena, the first of its kind in Northern Brazil, has already welcomed over 400 children, youth, and adults in the first 15 days of the July Vacation Colony, promoted by the Government of Pará through the State Secretariat of Sports and Leisure (Seel). The space has established itself as a safe, educational, and modern alternative for electronic entertainment during the school break.

Located inside the Olympic Stadium of Pará – Mangueirão, in Belém, the arena hosts visitors for free sessions of electronic games and classic arcade games, with activities aimed at children from six years old, teenagers, and adults. The programming continues until July 31, with sessions in the morning and afternoon, from Monday to Friday.

"More than 400 people have come here to have fun at the Gamer Arena. This shows the importance of having spaces dedicated to electronic sports, which are now part of the leisure activities of many families. It is a joy to see the kids playing, socializing, and having access to a modern and safe environment," highlighted Seel's secretary, Cássio Andrade.

Modern and inclusive space

Opened in June 2024, the Mangueirão Gamer Arena was designed to cater to everyone from professional competitors to beginners. The environment is air-conditioned and equipped with a 144hz gaming monitor, ergonomic chairs, high-performance peripherals, two arcade machines, dedicated fiber optic internet, as well as a relaxation lounge and mini-broadcasting studio. The venue can accommodate up to 18 players simultaneously and 30 spectators.

During the Vacation Colony, participants have access to over 10 games, including Valorant, eFootball, Roblox, Counter-Strike (CS), and League of Legends (LoL), as well as retro games in the arcade machines.

Testimonials from participants

11-year-old student Kimberly dos Santos was one of the visitors alongside her mother, Tatiane Marques. "It's amazing, like a dream. The games are cool, everything runs quickly, I'm having a lot of fun with my friends," said the young girl.

For Tatiane, the structure and hospitality make a difference. "It's an inclusive space. Here, everyone can play: children, adults, people with disabilities. Whenever I can, I bring my daughter. The service is great, and the Government of Pará deserves congratulations for the initiative," she stated.
