Secretary of Justice promotes training and drug prevention actions in Breves
In Marajó, event highlights the importance of ongoing training and integrated actions in preventing chemical dependency
The State Secretary of Justice (Seju) held educational and drug prevention training actions on July 14 and 15 in the municipality of Breves, in the Marajó Region. The initiative, organized by the Coordination of Prevention, Treatment, and Reduction of Drug Use (Cenpren) of Seju, promoted the integration of civil society work and professionals from the intersectoral network to raise awareness about the risks of chemical dependency.
The educational action with the theme "Drugs and social sustainability: challenges for an integrated policy" was held on the last day 14, in a therapeutic community in the city, through the formation of a dialogue circle following the practices of Restorative Justice. On the same day, a second edition of the action was promoted, this time for professionals from the intersectoral network working in drug prevention.
"It is always important to receive actions that contribute to our training, bringing us many novelties, especially from this articulation between the municipality and the state government, so that we can give the attention that this demand deserves, with a more humanized perspective," evaluates Mônica Lima, social worker from the municipality of Breves.
The training with the theme: "Intersectorality as a path to building drug policies with a focus on climate justice," brought together professionals from the protection network, educators, and community leaders, addressing topics such as drug legislation, coordinated work between reference sectors, and the experiences of groups that present greater vulnerability to the environmental and social impacts of climate change.
Seju technician, Márcia Marques, emphasizes that the training is important for ensuring rights in communities. "When we understand that each territory carries its own pains and potentials, we realize that care needs to be woven based on climate justice, and that the connection between sectors makes this construction truly possible," she affirms.
