CIIR hosts the closing of the Technical Chamber of Health Care of Conass in Belém
The reference center for rehabilitation received managers and authorities from all over the country and reinforced the strategic role of the North region in public health policies

On this Wednesday (16), the Integrated Center for Inclusion and Rehabilitation (CIIR), in Belém, hosted the closing of the Technical Chamber of Health Care, promoted by the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass). The event, which was part of the program of the Legal Amazon Meeting, brought together managers, technicians, and health authorities from all over the country to discuss the main challenges and strategies aimed at the Amazonian reality.
Throughout the three days of activities in the capital of Pará, topics such as innovation in the Unified Health System (SUS), integration of services, primary care, and successful experiences in the region were addressed, in addition to a tour on Combu Island. The last day of the program included technical visits to the CIIR, as well as speeches from important leaders in the sector, who were able to clarify doubts about the operation of the unit, the services offered, and the results achieved.

Representing the State Health Department, the Deputy Secretary of Administrative Management of Sespa, Edney Mendes Pereira, was present. He highlighted the relevance of the CIIR as the closing location for the event. “We came to showcase a successful case like the CIIR, which represents, in addition to the technique, that we are linking humanization to care,” he emphasized.
The Deputy Secretary of Health Policy Management, Heloísa Guimarães, emphasized that the good practices adopted by the CIIR should serve as a model for other regions. “Certainly, after today, three or four states in Brazil will have been inspired by our Center,” she highlighted. “The user is very well attended and respected by the teams that occupy the rehabilitation spaces here,” she continued.
For the Executive Secretary of Conass, Jurandi Frutuoso, visiting the CIIR is to understand the importance of the structure and services offered. “This is how a Government understands it is recognized: when it has the joy of knowing that its user and its population are satisfied with what it produces, as a result of governing.”

The Executive Director of the CIIR, Rejane Xavier, stated that it is an honor for the CIIR to be part of the program of the Technical Chamber of Health Care, reaffirming the commitment to cooperation between States with the strengthening of public policies that transform lives. “The CIIR represents a successful and concrete experience of humanized care, focusing on comprehensive rehabilitation and the inclusion of people with disabilities. With a differentiated structure recognized by national and international certifications, we have been developing this work for seven years. It is gratifying to present our routine and the impact we generate in the lives of our users,” said the manager while thanking the support of the State Government, through Sespa.
The holding of the event in Belém reaffirms Conass's commitment to strengthening public health policies in the North of the country and valuing practices that respect regional specificities.
