Ecoarte Project promotes environmental workshop for children at Mangal das Garças
The program promises a morning of learning and fun, in a workshop for making mobiles with natural materials

The Zoobotanical Park Mangal das Garças, in Belém, will hold another edition of the Ecoarte Project next Sunday (20). The program, aimed at children, will start at 10 am and proposes a morning of learning and fun through a workshop for making mobiles with natural materials, including flowers and twigs.
Focused on environmental education, the Ecoarte Project aims to raise children's awareness about the importance of nature in a playful and creative way. The proposal is to combine knowledge and art to stimulate ecological awareness from childhood.
According to Mayara Cohen, who will lead the workshop, activities such as making mobiles with elements from nature awaken children's awareness of the environment and reinforce values such as respect, care, and preservation. This type of workshop also contributes to the development of motor coordination, creativity, and concentration, and promotes moments of socialization and discovery.
“By providing direct contact with natural elements, the project also strengthens children's emotional bond with nature, which can reflect in more sustainable attitudes throughout life,” highlights Mayara Cohen.

The Ecoarte Project is promoted by the Government of Pará, through the State Secretariat of Tourism (Setur) and the Social Organization Pará 2000, which manages the Zoobotanical Park.
In addition to the workshop, Mangal das Garças offers other attractions, such as the José Márcio Ayres Reserve (butterfly house), the Amazonian Navigation Memorial, and the Belém lighthouse, which require tickets purchased at the ticket office.
