On the morning of this Thursday (17), a technical visit was held at the site where the new headquarters of the Pará Military Police Health Fund (FUNSAU) will operate. The PM's commander, Colonel Dilson Júnior, along with a technical team from the Institution, visited the new space located on Travessa Lomas Valentinas, Sacramenta neighborhood, in Belém. The construction is estimated to take eight months to complete, representing an important advancement in the health care structure for military police and firefighters in the State.

The director of FUNSAU, Colonel Capistrano, emphasized the importance of the new headquarters for improving the services provided to the troops. “We started this week the construction of the new FUNSAU headquarters, which will contribute to better health care for military personnel and their dependents. It will bring better working conditions for our employees, more satisfaction, and better services to our contributors. General health assistance — consultations, exams, surgeries, emergency and urgent services in hospitals — in a network that is distributed throughout the capital and the interior,” said the director.

Created in 1978, FUNSAU is a fundamental pillar in health assistance for state military personnel, covering active police and military firefighters, veterans, and their dependents. Currently, the Fund has about 14,000 members, which represents approximately 50,000 lives benefited throughout Pará. The accredited network includes 36 contracts with hospitals, clinics, and laboratories distributed in municipalities such as Altamira, Marabá, Santarém, Itaituba, Redenção, and Paragominas, ensuring health support even outside the capital.

During the visit, the commander of the Military Police, Colonel Dilson Júnior, highlighted the State's investment in valuing public security professionals. “The state government is constantly investing in the Public Security of the State, especially in the Military Police. In eight months, we will deliver this new FUNSAU headquarters, further supporting the health care of military police and firefighters in Pará,” he stated.

With more than four decades of operation, FUNSAU continues to fulfill its mission solidly: to care for the health of those who protect society. The construction of the new headquarters is more than a physical structure; it is a reflection of a concrete investment in valuing public security professionals. The new space reaffirms FUNSAU's institutional evolution and strengthens its role as a reference in caring for military police in Pará.
