In Altamira, the Government of Pará delivers motorcycles from the 'CredCidadão Mototaxista Pai D’Égua' program
The action aims to renew the fleet, expand job opportunities, and ensure more safety in traffic for drivers and passengers

The Government of Pará delivered, this Thursday (17), in Altamira, 32 motorcycles acquired through the CredCidadão Program – Mototaxista Pai D’Égua line, an initiative aimed at valuing alternative transport professionals. Of the total, 22 vehicles were allocated to mototaxistas in Altamira and 10 for workers in Vitória do Xingu, totaling an investment of R$ 640 thousand. The action aims to renew the fleet, expand job opportunities, and ensure more safety in traffic for drivers and passengers.
Governor Helder Barbalho participated in the delivery and reinforced the State's commitment to generating opportunities for self-employed workers. “We are investing in policies that promote dignity and better working conditions for those who live from alternative transport. With CredCidadão, mototaxistas have access to the necessary credit to renew their vehicles, work with more safety and quality, and offer a more reliable service to the population. This is our government's commitment: to support those who drive the local economy every day,” said the governor.

The delivered motorcycles were acquired through a specific microcredit line for mototaxistas, which allows the purchase of new vehicles with low pollutant emissions and the acquisition of safety items such as helmets, gloves, and vests.
The program seeks to strengthen the activity, expand access to credit, and ensure more protection for professionals and users of the service.

The General Director of CredCidadão, Brasilino Assunção, explained the importance of the action for workers in the region. “Today we are continuing the Mototaxista Pai D’Égua credit line with the delivery of 32 motorcycles that will directly benefit professionals from Altamira and Vitória do Xingu. This delivery follows the guidance of Governor Helder Barbalho and Vice Governor Hana Ghassan, focusing on renewing the fleet and improving the working conditions of these professionals. The motorcycles are new, with lower pollutant emissions, which also contributes to the environment, and provide more safety for both the driver and the user of this service,” he concluded.
Present at the event, the president of the Mototaxistas Union of Altamira, Luiz Antônio Cardoso da Silva, reinforced the importance of the program for the category. “This CredCidadão is essential for our class. Only in Altamira, 40 motorcycles have been delivered previously, and now another 22. This represents dignity, modernization of the fleet, and more safety. We thank the governor, the vice governor, and Brasilino, who always pay attention to the mototaxistas,” he stated.

Among the beneficiaries of the action, the feeling is one of gratitude and hope for better days. Manoel Sousa, a benefited mototaxista, highlighted the impact of the program on the lives of workers.
“It will help a lot of colleagues who cannot afford to buy a new motorcycle. This partnership with the State Government and CredCidadão came at the right time. It is a step forward for all of us. We can only thank for the support and recognition of our work,” said the mototaxista.

The delivery reinforces the Government of Pará's commitment to promoting entrepreneurship and the development of regions through initiatives that generate income, improve the quality of the services provided, and ensure more dignity for those who live from their own efforts.
