The security forces continue the actions developed under the "Operation Summer 2025" in 50 locations in Pará. This year, due to the short school vacation period (aligned with the COP 30 period), those who stayed in the Metropolitan Region of Belém and sought Mosqueiro Island (a district of Belém) as a place of fun this weekend experienced the intense movement of police teams, patrolling and inspecting the most frequented beaches.

“In Mosqueiro, we have the presence of the Integrated Mobile Command and Control Center of Segup (State Secretariat for Public Security and Social Defense), installed on Avenida 16 de Novembro, near Praia do Farol, so that our agents can monitor the movement of the population through video surveillance cameras, as well as the security activities developed especially for the Island, mainly because we know that people from Belém come to the closest places to enjoy the summer, given that this year's school vacation period is shorter. Therefore, we are paying more attention to the locations that are closer to the Metropolitan Region,” said the head of Segup, Ualame Machado.

On the afternoon of this Sunday (20), the actions coordinated by the Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense, in partnership with other state and municipal security agencies, had real-time monitoring of the intense movement on the Island, through the Integrated Mobile Command and Control Center. The agents monitor roads and beaches to expedite responses to occurrences, ensuring greater tranquility for everyone.

Electric trio - Military Police agents, along with the Municipal Guard, also monitor the movement of bathers around the electric trio that leaves the Chapéu Virado waterfront and follows through the streets of the district. The teams provide support to the official program of the City Hall of Belém for summer 2025.

Since childhood, cook Simone Leal has spent vacations with family and friends in Mosqueiro, and she assures that she now feels safer. “We are noticing a more intense security presence on the beaches and streets of Mosqueiro, and this makes us feel safer to enjoy the excitement on the island,” said Simone.

On the sandy beach, in bars and restaurants, the teams operate through the Zero Tolerance Operation. In the inspection of vehicles with irregular sound systems, the goal is to combat noise pollution and disturbance of peace, as well as to fight crime.
