Public enjoys the penultimate weekend of July at the City Park
Special cultural and musical performances continue until the end of July
The newest public facility in Belém has established itself as an option for leisure and fun in Belém. On Sunday, the 20th, visitors of all ages enjoyed cultural and musical performances and the vast spaces for peaceful walks and play. The cultural program continues until the end of July.
The show "Amazon in Legends: The story of beings and protectors of the forests" addresses the legends of Brazilian folklore. For Marcos Aurélio, a member of the scenic group, bringing the production to the City Park is recognition of the work and an opportunity to showcase Amazonian culture to more people.
The Maery Capoeira School and master Pantera were also attractions on Sunday. They performed capoeira, carimbó, maculelê, and samba de roda, bringing together children and adults in the park's amphitheater.
Visitor Claudia da Silva, 33, was accompanied by friends and took the opportunity to explore the space. "It's my first time here and we are enjoying everything. It's lively too, very pleasant."
The program concluded with a show by singer Luê, who performed songs from various albums of her career, interpreting original compositions.
Zenilsa Cruz took her daughter Natasha Cruz, 6 years old, to explore the Park and enjoy the cultural program. "We arrived at 2:30 PM, she went to the water park and the children's park. I found everything wonderful, my daughter had fun. Everything is beautiful," she said.
Esplanade of Fountains
The water park Esplanade of Fountains, the newest free attraction of the Park, caught the attention of the little ones, who took the opportunity to cool off and play during the heat of the Amazon summer.
The City Park operates on Mondays from 6 PM to 10 PM and from Tuesday to Sunday from 9 AM to 10 PM. The water park Esplanade of Fountains operates from Tuesday to Sunday from 8 AM to 11 AM and 2 PM to 6 PM.
