At the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control in Itinga, in Dom Eliseu, southeastern Pará, two generator sets, valued at R$ 1,094,980.00, originating from Curitiba (PR) and destined for Belém (PA), were seized on Sunday (20).

“The operation refers to interstate sales, intended for a final consumer who is not an ICMS taxpayer, subject to the collection of the Differential Rate (Difal). It was found that the tax was collected at a value lower than due. In light of the infraction, a Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was drawn up, in the amount of R$ 43,150.30, corresponding to the difference of the ICMS not fully collected and the applied fine,” informed coordinator Rafael Brasil.

Seized forklifts in Itinga

Forklifts - Also at the Itinga Coordination, three forklifts, valued at R$ 232,500.00, were seized on Sunday (20). The load left Anápolis (GO), destined for Marabá (PA). The goods were covered by an invoice with the nature of a shipment for demonstration.

“However, under the terms of Decree No. 4,676/2001, only the shipment in the quantity necessary to know the product is considered a demonstration. The shipment of three units of the same model, complete and of high value, exceeds this limit, revealing an indication of commercial destination. A Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was drawn up, in the amount of R$ 26,040.00, referring to the ICMS and the due fine,” added the state revenue inspector.

Beef tallow - During an inspection carried out on Sunday (20) by the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control of Carajás, from Sefa, in the southeastern State, state revenue inspectors seized 38 tons of bulk beef tallow, valued at R$ 245,618.00. The seizure occurred at the fiscal post of KM-09 of the Transamazon Highway (BR-230), in Marabá, when the vehicle transporting goods from Xinguara (PA), destined for Rio Grande do Sul, was approached.

“After the document analysis and consultation with Sefa's systems, it was found that the goods were sent with an invoice indicating an operation with a specific purpose of export. However, it was verified that the recipient located in Rio Grande do Sul is not qualified as an exporting company. Furthermore, its registered main activity is the wholesale trade of animal feed, with secondary activities focused on oils and fats, which demonstrates that the goods would not actually be exported,” explained coordinator Cicinato Oliveira.

The operation was recharacterized as interstate shipment and considered as such, therefore the advance collection of ICMS is required at the moment of leaving the Pará territory. A Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was drawn up, in the amount of R$ 41,263.82, referring to the ICMS and the fine.
