In July, the movement at the Hydroviary Terminal in Belém significantly increases due to the flow of people leaving the capital to enjoy school holidays in the countryside. Taking advantage of this moment of greater circulation, the Pará Sanitation Company (Cosanpa), through the Social Programs Advisory, organized a series of environmental education actions aimed at passengers passing through the Terminal.

The program included guidance, distribution of informative pamphlets, and interactive games, with the aim of raising travelers' awareness about the importance of preserving the environment, especially rivers, which are essential for transportation in the region and a vital natural resource for the population.

Knowledge - By the last day of July 17, about 22,000 people had passed through the Hydroviary Terminal, many heading to the Marajó Archipelago, including municipalities such as Soure, Salvaterra, and Ponta de Pedras, as well as Macapá (AP). Before boarding, passengers had the opportunity to learn more about the necessary care for the environment, reinforcing each individual's responsibility in preserving nature.

According to Anasthácia Almeida, coordinator of the program, "it is essential to promote environmental education actions during these peak times, as they help raise awareness among people about the importance of taking care of our rivers and the environment. Our goal is to encourage sustainable practices and strengthen everyone's responsibility in preserving natural resources."
