Sefa seizes equipment used in gym, furniture, and appliances
The seizures occurred in the south and northeast of Pará due to irregularities in tax collection
Inspection carried out by the team from the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control of Araguaia, from the State Department of Finance (Sefa), in southern Pará, seized 42 gym equipment on Monday (21), which left Itajaí (SC) heading to Santarém (PA). The total value of the goods is R$ 669,595.07.
“At the tax post on PA-447 Highway, KM-15, in Conceição do Araguaia, the driver of a truck presented an invoice for goods, and the inspection, upon consulting the systems, verified that the goods were in an irregular situation, as the recipient is not an ICMS taxpayer and there was no collection of the ICMS Differential Rate (Difal) to the State of Pará. A Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was drawn up, in the amount of R$146,473.06, for the collection of the due tax plus a fine,” said coordinator Renato Couto.

Gurupi – In the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control of Gurupi, in the municipality of Cachoeira do Piriá, northeastern Pará, on the border of Pará with Maranhão, state revenue inspectors also seized, on Monday, 104 pieces of furniture and appliances, including irons, stoves, televisions, fans, and refrigerators. The load was valued at R$ 50,220.50.
“The driver of the box truck presented an invoice for the shipment of furniture and appliances, originating from Santa Luzia do Pará and destined for Santa Luzia do Pará, which raised suspicion for the inspection, as the vehicle was approached at the border with Maranhão, at the tax post located in a district of Cachoeira do Piriá. A physical inspection and verification of the load was carried out,” informed coordinator Gustavo Bozola.
The driver informed that the goods would be sold in various places, without a specific recipient. In this case, the legislation provides for the advance payment of the ICMS. A Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was drawn up, in the amount of R$ 13,358.66.
