Sefa seizes loads of corn and soybeans in Marabá
The inspectors found the lack of collection of the advance ICMS, required when leaving the territory of Pará
During an action by state revenue inspectors from the State Department of Finance (Sefa), assigned to the Coordination of Goods in Transit of Carajás, in southeastern Pará, 48,100 kilograms of bulk corn and 49,140 kg of soybeans were seized, which were being transported from Pará to Maranhão - the cities of Bom Jesus da Selva and São Luís.

The seizure occurred on Wednesday (23), at the Carajás Railway tax post in Marabá, when two vehicles were approached. The goods were valued at R$ 151,842.17.
“Initially, the responsible parties for the loads claimed that they were internal operations. However, after a detailed document analysis and consultations with Sefa's systems, it was found that, in fact, these were interstate operations, without the proper collection of the advance ICMS required when leaving the territory of Pará,” informed the unit coordinator, Cicinato Oliveira.
Three Terms of Seizure and Deposit (TADs) were drawn up, totaling R$ 26,405.20, charging ICMS and fines.
