Barcarena has the reinforcement of more than 100 agents during the Summer Operation 2025
Barcarena has the reinforcement of approximately 140 security agents throughout the month of July. The actions developed in the city follow the strategies defined through the Summer Operation 2025, coordinated by the Secretary of Public Security and Social Defense (Segup) integrated with other bodies of the State Security System.
“There are 50 locations that received special reinforcement for the month of July. Barcarena is one of the places that the population and tourists usually visit to enjoy the beaches and the events that are already traditional during this time of year in the city,” said the Secretary of Public Security and Social Defense, Ualame Machado.
The policing takes place, especially, due to the “Summer Festival” which features national attractions and an average audience of 50,000 people.
“We concentrated our teams on police patrols around the beach front and in the area of the stage, where the largest concentration of people is, to ensure policing and thus prevent greater occurrences,” explained Lieutenant Fernando, who works in the 14th Military Police Battalion.
The university student, Glaice Santos, who lives in Abaetetuba, comes every weekend to enjoy the July vacation with her family in Barcarena and highlights the feeling of safety she has during the Festival.
“This is the second weekend we are enjoying the attractions and I feel very safe with my family, as the policing is very strong around the stage and on the beach throughout the day. We are always here enjoying and even better, knowing that we are protected,” said the student.
Inspection and policing
At Caripi beach, police patrols are also carried out, from the entrance at the access gate to the beach, to the waterfront. The teams integrated with the Military Fire Brigade also act in the inspection, aiming to prevent the entry of glass bottles onto the beach, as well as the use of lines with cerol.
