New Usina da Paz Offers Weekend Leisure to Residents of Tucuruí
The new state public facility provided the local community with two days of leisure and fun, with a free swimming pool, sports activities, and games for families to enjoy the summer.
The recently opened Usina da Paz in Tucuruí, in southeastern Pará, opened its doors over the weekend (26 and 27) and provided the local community with two days of leisure and fun. With a free swimming pool, sports activities, and games for children, families were able to enjoy the Amazon summer comfortably and safely at the new public facility delivered by the State Government.
Resident Letícia Silva enjoyed the programming with her family and highlighted the importance of the new UsiPaz for the residents of Tucuruí. "The space is very good. An option for families that cannot afford it. We didn't have a space like this before; now we have a place for children to have fun because Usina da Paz brought this to us," said the resident.
The young Bruno Kevin, only 10 years old, also participated in the programming, accompanied by his guardians. "I am really enjoying this project at Usina da Paz. It's really cool for us kids to have fun on weekends," he celebrated.
Another resident who enjoyed Sunday at Usina da Paz was Nayara Costa. "I am really enjoying these activities, especially for the children. It's very important on a weekend like this because many families do not have the opportunity to have a leisure day, and Usina is providing these activities. I am loving all of this," declared Nayara.
Usina da Paz Tucuruí - The new state citizenship complex, the 16th in Pará and the first in the Tucuruí Lake region, was inaugurated on July 23 and, in just a few days, has already become a reference for the population in providing essential services and care.
The public facility has a modern and functional structure, with fully equipped spaces for offering more than 70 free services in areas such as health, education, citizenship, professional qualification, culture, sports, and leisure.
According to the Secretary of Citizenship Articulation, Elieth Braga, the community's participation in the first days of operation demonstrates the importance of the new space. "Usina da Paz is a gift for the people of Tucuruí. It is a place for meeting, learning, and social transformation. We are very happy to see families occupying this space with joy and safety," highlighted the secretary.
