City Park hosts COP30 Muaythai Cup with support from the State Government
The competition brought together 60 athletes and over 500 spectators as part of the preparation for the Paraense Championship 2025

With the support of the State Secretariat for Sports and Leisure (Seel), City Park in Belém was the stage for the COP30 Muaythai Cup on Saturday (26). The event gathered over 500 spectators and featured 30 fights among 60 athletes, standing out as one of the largest competitions of the sport in the state.
Support for Paraense sports
The initiative was carried out by the Traditional Muaythai Federation of the State of Pará, with support from Seel and the Municipal Secretariat of Sports, Youth and Leisure (Sejel). The head of Seel, Cássio Andrade, was present and emphasized the importance of the partnership between the State Government and the Federation for the development of the sport.
"In the largest park in Brazil, which is City Park, we held a wonderful competition, bringing together 60 athletes in 30 fights. It is the State Government of Pará and the Federation working together to promote Paraense sports and ensure that our athletes shine more and more, raising the flag of Pará in national and international competitions," said the secretary.
Highlight of the night
The main fight was between Guilherme Moura and Davi Ferreira in the 71 kg category, for the Semiprofessional belt. After three rounds, Guilherme Moura emerged victorious. The athlete celebrated winning his fourth belt from the Federation, reinforcing his journey in the sport.

"I can only thank God and my coaches for another victory. I am a two-time Paraense champion, Brazilian champion, I was the champion of the Brazil Cup of Muaythai and also of the Arnor Sport Center belt. I am very happy for another achievement," declared Guilherme.
Awards and upcoming challenges
A total of 60 medals were awarded, with 30 gold for the champions and 30 silver for the runners-up. The COP30 Cup also served as a preparatory event for the Paraense Muaythai Championship 2025, which will take place on August 23 and 24 at Mangueirinho, also with the support of the Government of Pará.

The name of the competition refers to the 30th United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP30), which will be held in Belém in November 2025.
