Seju promotes citizenship and drug prevention actions in Mosqueiro and Bragança
In the summer program, teams from the Secretariat addressed care, guarantee of rights, and guidance on reporting channels
The State Secretariat of Justice (Seju) carried out, from July 25 to 27 (Friday to Sunday), actions to promote citizenship, prevent drug use, and guarantee rights on the Island of Mosqueiro (district of Belém) and in the municipality of Bragança, in northeastern Pará. The actions are part of the Secretariat's summer program and were promoted in partnership with state and municipal agencies.
On Friday, staff from the Coordination of Prevention, Treatment, and Reduction of Drug Use (Cenpren) of Seju visited a unit of the Social Assistance Reference Center (Cras) in Mosqueiro and promoted an educational activity in a therapeutic community supporting drug prevention and recovery.

The psychologist from Cenpren, Marília França, coordinated the activity, addressing topics such as rights and care, and explaining that "the goal was to promote the exchange of life experiences, listen and reflect with those welcomed about what it means to have rights, live with dignity, and receive care in a respectful and non-exclusionary manner."
On Saturday and Sunday, the Cenpren team made a direct approach to the public at the Fish Market, bus and boat terminals, Vila Square, and other busy locations in Mosqueiro. Informational materials were distributed along with preventive guidance on the risks associated with drug use.

Rights - In Bragança, on Saturday, Seju, through the Coordination of Monitoring Violated Rights (CMDV), guided summer visitors on the importance of observing rights guaranteed by law. The action also distributed materials with information about Seju's work focused on social and psychological guidance for those whose rights have been violated.
“The intense movement on the beaches is an opportunity for us to carry out guidance and education work on rights violations and the channels indicated for their guarantee, acting in partnership with the municipal sphere and making the State increasingly closer to the population,” said Priscila Taveira, psychologist at CMDV.
