Sefa seizes 10 air pumps in Dom Eliseu

State revenue inspectors from the Pará State Department of Finance (Sefa) seized 10 air pumps on the last day 29, in Dom Eliseu, northeastern Pará. Originating from the city of São Caetano do Sul/SP and destined for Belém/PA, the pumps are valued at R$ 900,000.00. The officials who participated in the seizure are assigned to the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of Itinga.
“The operation was covered by a sales invoice. However, during the inspection, it was verified that it was an operation destined for the final consumer, a non-ICMS taxpayer, a situation in which the collection of the ICMS Differential Rate (Difal) is due, which is the difference between the interstate rate and the internal rate, upon the entry of the goods into Pará,” explained the coordinator of the tax unit, Rafael Brasil.
A Seizure and Deposit Term (Difal) was drawn up, in the amount of R$ 137,669.43, to collect the tax and the fine for the infraction.
