The Civil Police of the State of Pará concluded the first half of 2025 with significant results in combating crime. According to the Management Report for the period, the institution launched about 1,400 police operations in Pará and in 17 other states of the federation, including the largest operation in the history of the corporation: the "State Wall", which mobilized more than 1,200 agents and resulted in the arrest of 223 people in a single day.

The integrated actions of the Pará Civil Police exceeded state borders. In total, 56 operations were carried out in other states, with nearly 200 people arrested. "This gives an average of eight operations per day, which demonstrates the continuous and coordinated effort of the corporation in facing crime," emphasized the general delegate of the Civil Police of Pará, Raimundo Benassuly.

Another important milestone was the seizure of more than 5.5 tons of drugs in just six months. "We are already approaching the total seized throughout the year 2024, which was 7.2 tons. Combating drug trafficking is a priority, as this criminal activity finances other illicit practices," highlighted the deputy general delegate, Temmer Khayat.

Investments and structural deliveries strengthen the institution

The advances were also driven by strategic investments made by the State Government, with support from the Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP), the State Public Security and Social Defense Fund (FESPDS), and the Public Security Investment Fund (FISP). About R$ 20 million were invested in weapons, fingerprinting equipment, vests, and the construction of new police units.

"These resources directly contribute to the modernization of the institution, strengthening its structure and improving the working conditions of our professionals," stated delegate Vicente Leite, head of the Strategic Planning Advisory.

Among the deliveries of the semester are the Murinin Police Station, linked to the Metropolitan Police Directorate (DPM), and the Tourist Protection Police Station (DPTur), linked to the Specialized Police Directorate (DPE). The latter was created with a focus on the safety of tourists, especially during major events such as the Círio de Nazaré and the 30th United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP 30), which will be held in Belém in November 2025.

"The first half of 2025 proves the commitment of the Civil Police of the State of Pará to the defense of public order, the fight against organized crime, and the promotion of safety for the people of Pará. Our goal is to further strengthen the institution and provide excellent service to citizens," concluded general delegate Benassuly.
