The mineral water distributor from the municipality of Vigia de Nazaré, José Ribamar Pires, is one of the entrepreneurs benefited by the CredCidadão Microcredit Program, created by the State Government to provide lines of credit to stimulate the economy and invest in regional commerce. With the funds, the entrepreneur doubled the stock of water jugs, which directly influenced greater profit.

“It is very important for us who are starting to have a financial boost like this, a line of credit with low and accessible interest rates, which acts as an injection of encouragement for our business. The program met my needs and I used the funds as working capital to invest in the venture. CredCidadão is, in fact, a helping hand that comes to assist, I consider it a great ally in my work,” emphasizes the distributor.

From January to the first half of July 2025, CredCidadão has already benefited 1,028 people, totaling R$ 4,706,000.00 in resources. Of this amount, R$ 3,746,000.00 was allocated to the conventional microcredit line, covering various activities such as fruit shops, water distribution depots, açaí sales, clothing, family farming, and others; and R$ 960,000.00 to the CredCidadão Mototaxista Pai D’Égua line, benefiting 48 professionals.

“It is very gratifying to see the joy of people receiving these benefits, whether to start a small business or to enhance an already existing microenterprise, generating jobs, income, financial autonomy, and dignity, as well as for mototaxistas to acquire new motorcycles, renewing the fleet and providing more comfort and safety for these professionals and users of this alternative transport,” highlights Braselino Assunção, general director of the CredCidadão Microcredit Program Management Center.

The municipalities benefited by the program in 2025 were Belém, Ananindeua, Altamira, Bagre, Barcarena, Benevides, Bragança, Breves, Cametá, Conceição do Araguaia, Curionópolis, Itaituba, Jacundá, Limoeiro do Ajuru, Marabá, Parauapebas, Pau D’Arco, Redenção, Santa Izabel do Pará, Santo Antônio do Tauá, São Domingos do Araguaia, São João de Pirabas, Vigia de Nazaré, and Vitória do Xingu.

Benefited in the municipality of Conceição do Araguaia, rural producer Gabriel Lopes celebrates the advances achieved from the program's resources. “Thanks to CredCidadão, which guarantees a cheaper line of credit to small entrepreneurs, my business has only improved. Today, I have a lemon plantation that, thanks to the program, I will be able to irrigate and expand this production for the coming years,” he celebrates.

PROGRAM - The benefit is a microcredit with low interest, a maximum of 1% per month, which can be renewed. Aimed at formal and informal microentrepreneurs, the program grants lines of credit of up to R$ 5,000, under special conditions, to stimulate the economy in the municipalities.

The CredCidadão Mototaxista Pai D’Égua branch aims to renew the fleet and improve traffic safety for mototaxistas and users, through the acquisition of vehicles and safety equipment, such as helmets, gloves, and vests.
