Detran warns of licensing expiration in August

The State Department of Traffic (Detran) emphasizes the importance of vehicle owners being aware of the expiration dates for annual licensing. This August, vehicles with license plates ending in 07, 17, 27, 37, 47, 57, 67, 76, 77, 86, 87, 96, and 97 must regularize their situation, according to the calendar established for the year 2025.

Licensing is a mandatory tax that certifies the regularity of the vehicle and ensures its legal circulation on public roads. After payment, the Electronic Vehicle Registration and Licensing Certificate (CRLV-e) is available for download on the Detran website and also on the Digital Traffic Wallet app.

To issue the State Collection Document (DAE), simply access the website www.detran.pa.gov.br, click on the “Vehicles – Annual Licensing” tab, and provide the license plate, Renavam, and the owner's CPF. Payment can be made at affiliated banks – Banco do Brasil, Banpará, Banco da Amazônia, Bradesco, Itaú, and Santander – until the due date. The DAE can also be obtained in person at the Detran headquarters, at advanced service points, or at the Regional Traffic Circumscriptions (Ciretrans).

Installment - One of the facilities offered by Detran is the possibility of paying the licensing fee in installments on a credit card, through accredited companies. This option is available not only for those with overdue debts but also for drivers who wish to pay the current year's licensing more flexibly. To make the installment, the owner can attend in person at Detran or service points or, if preferred, online.

Check the step-by-step to pay in installments via credit card:
1. Access the website www.detran.pa.gov.br
2. Scroll down to the “OTHER ACCESS” section
3. Select the “INSTALLMENT VIA CREDIT CARD” option
4. Choose one of the available accredited companies
5. Complete the payment and wait for the compensation for the release of the CRLV-e

The installment of debts is carried out exclusively by partner companies. Detran-PA does not directly perform this type of operation. The coordinator of Vehicle Registration at Detran, Enrique Barbosa, emphasizes the importance of checking the vehicle's status in advance. “The release of the CRLV-e only occurs after the total settlement of debts linked to the vehicle, including fines. Therefore, it is essential that the driver consults any pending issues before the expiration,” he advises.

Infractions and penalties - Driving with expired licensing is a serious infraction, subject to fines, points on the National Driver's License (CNH), and vehicle retention. “Our goal is to ensure safer and more regulated traffic. The increase in the number of irregular vehicles raises a warning about the importance of keeping documentation up to date,” concludes Enrique.

Licensing expiration calendar in August:
• August 1 – Plates ending in 76, 86, and 96
• August 8 – Plates ending in 07, 17, 27, and 37
• August 22 – Plates ending in 47, 57, and 67
• August 29 – Plates ending in 77, 87, and 97

For more information, drivers can access the website of Detran or seek in-person assistance at one of the agency's units.
