The Forensic Police of Pará (PCEPA) participated, from June 28 to August 4, in the 'Summer Operation 2025', coordinated by the State Secretariat for Public Security and Social Defense (Segup). The action aimed to ensure the safety of residents and tourists during the holiday period, both in the main tourist destinations in the countryside and in urban centers.

The PCEPA operated with a daily workforce of 106 employees, including forensic experts, medical examiners, technical and operational support staff. The teams were distributed among the headquarters in Belém, the Regional Coordinators (Castanhal, Marabá, Santarém, and Altamira), the Advanced Units (Abaetetuba, Bragança, Paragominas, Parauapebas, Tucuruí, and Itaituba), and with reinforcement at strategically highlighted points such as Cametá, Conceição do Araguaia, Mosqueiro District, Marudá, Salinópolis, and Salvaterra.

Integrated action - During the operation, the PCEPA played a fundamental role in providing technical support to other security forces, such as the Civil and Military Police, Detran, and Artran. The institution was responsible for issuing technical reports requested during the services, such as alcohol tests, drug use, bodily injuries, vehicle examinations, property, noise pollution, ballistics, body removals, crime scenes, domestic violence, and sexual violence.

“Public security operations during the holidays require prompt forensic response. Our actions ensured the production of technical evidence that supports police investigations and strengthens the Justice System,” highlighted forensic expert Ana Cláudia Melo Macedo, coordinator of the regional units of PCEPA.

Results - In the Regional Units and Advanced Units, a total of 5,290 forensic examinations were conducted, including 3,320 forensic medicine and 1,970 criminalistics. The municipalities that stood out in these requests were Belém in first place, Castanhal in second, and Santarém in third place.

In the highlighted posts, 88 forensic examinations were conducted, including 53 criminalistics and 35 forensic medicine. Salinópolis stood out as the post with the highest number of requests, followed by Mosqueiro and Marudá in third.

The most requested type of examination in both the Regional Units, Advanced Units, and Highlighted Posts was bodily injury. Abuse drugs ranked second, followed by vehicle examinations in third place.
