Inova Sociobio continues with open registrations for support of sustainable projects in Pará
The initiative reinforces the opportunity for proposals from community enterprises of indigenous peoples, quilombolas, traditional communities, and family farmers (PIQCTAFs)

The Amazônia Sustentável Foundation (FAS), under the Inova Sociobio project of the Government of Pará, keeps registrations open for the call for proposals that will select sustainable projects developed by indigenous peoples, quilombolas, traditional communities, and family farmers (PIQCTAFs) operating in the State.
The initiative aims to strengthen community enterprises focused on the production of sustainable goods and services, which combine innovation, traditional knowledge, income generation, and forest conservation.
Registrations will remain open until 11:59 PM on August 11 and must be made through the website fas-amazonia.org/inova, where the complete call, the electronic registration form, mandatory attachments, and other information about the process are available.
Organizations from civil society with proven activity in Pará, legally constituted for at least one year, and with an active CNPJ can participate. Thus, associations, cooperatives (individual, central, federations, and confederations), networks, and other organizational forms that directly represent the priority audiences are eligible.

The call for proposals is supported financially by the Financial Cooperation of Germany, through KfW bank, with resources from the Forest in Foot Program. The total amount available for funding is R$ 2.4 million. Each proposal may request between R$ 50,000 and R$ 200,000, with an execution period of up to 12 months.
The proposals must align with at least one of the four thematic axes established in the call, and it is mandatory that all include at least one line of action from Axis I – Training and Technical Assistance. The other thematic axes are: adoption of technologies for climate resilience and environmental sustainability in production processes; improvement of productive capacity: infrastructure and equipment; and creation of Points of Innovation in Sociobioeconomy.
The selection process for the Inova Sociobio call will be carried out in three stages. In the first, interested organizations must fill out the Proposal Presentation Form, containing information about the proposing organization, the socioeconomic profile of the entity, the organization's experience, the characterization of the productive activity, the conditions of public service infrastructure, as well as the proposal aligned with one of the four thematic axes and its potential for transformation and change. In this initial phase, it is not necessary to present a detailed work plan; however, it is a mandatory criterion, when submitting the form, to attach proof of active CNPJ.
The evaluation of the proposals will be conducted by a technical chamber formed by specialists in sociobioeconomy, who will analyze the relevance of the projects, the technical and institutional capacity of the proposing organization, the potential impact, and the replicability and scalability of the presented initiative.
Organizations with proposals approved in the first phase must present the CNPJ card, municipal registration, institutional documents, and certificates to advance to the second stage: the orientation workshop for the preparation of detailed work plans, which is expected to occur preferably in person in Belém (PA).
The entities must indicate two professionals from their team to participate in the activity, and participation in the workshop is a mandatory condition for the approval of the proposal. The training aims to support the preparation of the detailed work plan, which will be required in the final phase of the selection.

In the third stage, organizations will submit the detailed work plans of the proposals selected in the initial stage, which will again go through the technical chamber, which will evaluate whether the scope and concept of the projects meet the criteria and requirements established in the call.
The group of specialists may suggest conditions and recommendations for the proposal's hiring to be effective. In case of non-approval of the work plan or failure to meet the conditions indicated by the technical chamber within the stipulated time, the proponent will be disqualified.
The Inova Sociobio is aligned with the public policy guidelines of the Government of Pará, which promote bioeconomy as an alternative to deforestation and as a path to sustainable development.
The call contributes to the objectives defined by Decrees No. 941/2020, No. 1,943/2021, and No. 2,746/2022, which establish, respectively, the State Plan Amazônia Agora (PEAA), the State Bioeconomy Strategy, and the State Bioeconomy Plan (PlanBio). These instruments guide actions to value territories and traditional knowledge, respecting the sociocultural and environmental diversity of the region.
All information, documents, and mandatory attachments are available on the official FAS website: fas-amazonia.org/inova.
