Local entrepreneurs showcase the strength of Pará's production at the 26th edition of SuperNorte 2025, held by the Pará Supermarkets Association (Aspas), with support from the State Government, through the Secretary of Economic Development, Mining and Energy (Sedeme). At an institutional booth, the Secretary brings together companies and cooperatives from the state, valuing all stages - from cultivation to the final product - with tastings and the opportunity to learn about part of the production process.

The event was officially opened on the night of last Thursday (7), and continues until Saturday (9), at Hangar – Amazon Convention Center, in Belém.

Under the coordination of the Directorate of Industry, Commerce and Services (DDCIS/Sedeme), the government booth highlights the economic potential of local entrepreneurs. Among the exhibitors are: Xingú Destilados, from Altamira, with its artisanal cachaça Xinguaça; Chocolates Cacau Xingu, from Brasil Novo, which produces artisanal chocolates with organic cocoa grown in Transamazon and Xingu; Pipocas Cor‑de‑Rosa, from Castanhal, which presents a diverse line of snacks, including sweet and salty popcorn.

Farmers Jiovana Lunelli and João Araújo, founders of Cacau Xingu - a company based in Brasil Novo and participating in SuperNorte for the first time - cultivate about 11 hectares of cocoa in an agroforestry system focused on environmental preservation and harvest, on average, three tons per year. Since 2022, they have been investing in the production of organic and sustainable chocolates, creatively and responsibly expanding the use of the fruit. Among Cacau Xingu's products are: 100% fine cocoa chocolate bars wrapped in dehydrated cocoa leaves and combined with dried fruits; cocoa nibs; tea sachets made with dehydrated peel; liqueur extracted from cocoa nectar, in addition to other derivatives that enhance the flavor and Amazonian origin of the fruit.

AmazonCoop, from Castanhal, presents the diversity of regional production.

“We have participated in other fairs, such as the Chocolate Festival, but this is our first time at SuperNorte. It is a different fair, where we will have the opportunity to connect with other people, meet potential clients, and prospect new businesses. The visibility for our products is essential, and we are very proud. We thank the government's support, through Sedeme,” highlighted Jiovana Lunelli.

The Amazon Agroindustrial Cooperative (AmazonCoop), from Castanhal, represented by Johannes Vicente Filho, supports Sedeme's initiative by bringing together family farming organizations to showcase the diversity of regional production. “We brought various product lines, such as vacuum-packed vegetables, roots, and greens, as well as processed items like cassava dough and others. These are high-quality products at affordable prices,” emphasized Johannes. AmazonCoop promotes intercooperation among family farmers in the northeastern region of Pará. It operates in 36 municipalities, maintains partnerships with 16 organizations in the sector, and brings together a total of 942 members.

About SuperNorte 2025

Organized by the Pará Supermarkets Association (Aspas), which has represented the sector since 1977, SuperNorte 2025 arrives with the theme “Sustainable Business — Time to Advance with COP30.” Recognized as the largest supermarket gathering in the Northern region, the convention brings together more than 60 exhibitors, including national, regional companies, and 20 local entrepreneurs in the Sebrae Space.

This year, the convention was brought forward (traditionally held in October) due to preparations for COP30, which will have Belém as the host city. Exclusive to invited guests and registered participants, SuperNorte is endorsed by the Brazilian Supermarkets Association (Abras) and covers the states of Amapá, Amazonas, Roraima, and Maranhão.

The expectation is to attract around 30,000 visitors over the three days of the event and generate approximately R$ 75 million in business.
