Government of Pará advances with construction and new bridge between Icoaraci and Outeiro reaches 84% completion
State launches second pair of metal girders of the new cable-stayed bridge between the two districts, and advances with the concreting of the slabs

The construction of the new cable-stayed bridge connecting the districts of Icoaraci and Outeiro in Belém is progressing with significant milestones in this new phase of the work. The Government of Pará launched the second metal girder this week in the cable-stayed section and began the concreting of the slabs on the Icoaraci side, significantly increasing the pace of construction, which has already reached 84% completion.
On the Icoaraci side, the work front is focused on the reinforcement and concreting of the slabs. On the Outeiro side, the last beam is being executed, allowing the start of the placement of the precast slabs, a stage that precedes the reinforcement of the deck slabs. In the cable-stayed section, the lifting of the second pair of metal girders is advancing, an essential element for the assembly of the bridge's superstructure.

The State Secretary of Infrastructure and Logistics, Adler Silveira, highlighted the importance of this new step. “With the launch of the second girder and the concreting of the slabs, especially on the Icoaraci side, we are taking a decisive step towards the completion of this historic work. It is a commitment to the population, who eagerly awaits the delivery of a modern, safe, and efficient bridge,” he stated.
Integration - The new bridge will be a landmark for urban mobility in the Metropolitan Region of Belém, directly benefiting over 100,000 people. Furthermore, it is being built with modern engineering standards, prioritizing safety, durability, and road integration.

Real estate agent Rafael Corrêa lives in Ananindeua, but whenever he can, he enjoys resting on the beaches of Outeiro. He believes that the new bridge will make the journey to the beaches easier. “Whenever I can, when I have a day off, I like to go to the beaches of Outeiro, especially Praia do Amor. This new bridge will definitely help the trip, it will shorten it, I can't wait for it to be finished,” the agent reflected.
The expectation is that, with the current progress, new work fronts will be initiated in the coming weeks, keeping the construction schedule at an accelerated pace for delivery to the population.
